Applied toxicological modeling, analysis, and decision support.
EcoTox LLC is a specialist environmental consulting practice that provides scientific and technical support for environmental decision-making where toxicological evidence, exposure data, and quantitative models need to be evaluated clearly.
Work focuses on aquatic toxicology, ecological risk assessment, bioaccumulation, concentration-response analysis, and practical decision-support tools, with particular experience in metals and metalloids in aquatic systems.
Principal Scientist
EcoTox LLC is led by Kevin Brix Ph.D., an environmental toxicologist and comparative physiologist with extensive experience in aquatic toxicology, metals and metalloids, bioaccumulation, and development of practical tools for environmental assessment and decision-making.
Applied Support
EcoTox LLC helps translate toxicological information into defensible analyses, transparent models, and concise technical interpretation. Projects may involve study review, model development, uncertainty evaluation, data analysis, or support for communicating results to scientific, regulatory, and management audiences.
Focus areas include metal bioavailability, toxicity modifying factors, selenium bioaccumulation and effects, interpretation of aquatic toxicity data, and broader environmental toxicology questions where quantitative analysis can support decision-making.
Services
Technical support for aquatic toxicology, metals and metalloids assessment, bioaccumulation modeling, concentration-response analysis, statistical modeling, and interpretation of environmental monitoring data.
EcoTox Toolbox
The EcoTox Toolbox is a web-based application to support transparent, reproducible toxicological analysis and decision-support workflows.
Publications
Peer reviewed publications and book chapters.
